There’s nothing better than sitting down to a beautiful, stress-free Thanksgiving Table!

Here’s just a few fun tips from Clean Laundry to check off your list so you can enjoy your food, family and friends!

Two weeks before Thanksgiving

Prepare a list of dinner guests, write out your menu, shopping list and a cooking timetable.  There is nothing worse than trying to bake a pie when the turkey and all the fixings are in the oven and there’s no open space!

Make sure you have all the kitchen equipment needed to prepare your entire meal.

Gather up all your décor, decide on centerpiece, and color theme for a festive feel. Dust off old china.

On week before Thanksgiving

Before you head to the grocery store, clean out your refrigerator to make room for the Thanksgiving dinner.

Four days before Thanksgiving

If you bought a frozen turkey, you’ll need to start thawing it. A slow thaw equals a juicy and moist turkey!

Three days before Thanksgiving

Table linens such as cloth napkins and table cloths are a big part of your table décor.  Be sure there are no existing stains or musty smells. To revive, stop in to Clean Laundry! Wash, dry and iron giving your linens a new life, adding warmth to your festive Thanksgiving table.

Find out how many children are attending.  Prepare a table with festive linens.  Give them something fun to do by covering the table with butcher paper or brown craft paper and carve out the top of a small pumpkin, place crayons inside an old can or votive holder and insert into the pumpkin for a fun centerpiece!

Two days before Thanksgiving

Clean your house, focusing on kitchen and guest bathrooms. No need to overdo, this will just be stressful.

One day before Thanksgiving

Do all your baking the day before.  Especially pies and desserts.  Any side dishes that can be prepared or baked the day before will save you time on Thanksgiving Day.

Bring out your fresh table linens, centerpiece and decorations.  Set the table to give you one less thing to worry about on the big day. Always keep extra linens, place settings and chairs in case you have surprise guests.

Thanksgiving Day

Show time!  Bring out your cooked turkey and all your fixings.  Turn up the festive music, sit down, relax and enjoy the company, fresh linens and the beautiful table you prepared!

Happy Thanksgiving from your good friends,
